The art of palm reading has a very long and storied history that can be traced back all the way to Hindu astrology when it was better known as Jyotish. For our purposes here though we will just refer to it as what it is more commonly known as now as palm reading. There are of course many conflicting interpretations to palm reading so I will just cover the basics here to get you going.
In general most palm readers begin by asking you which of your hands are your dominant hands the left or the right and that is where they will do their reading from. This is the hand where they will evaluate your personality traits and your upcoming future. They will note the size and shape of your palm as well as your fingers. Determinations will be taken from the lines in your palm, the most commonly read 7 lines are as follows the Life line, Head line, Heart line, Fate line, Health line, Success line and the Union Line. The most famous line of course is the life line and in difference to what is widely assumed the length of your life line does not really correspond to how long you will live.
When it comes to the actual shape of your hand that will have a lot of significance in your reading as well. Again in general when it comes to the shape of your hand it can be broken down to the four elements those being Water, Earth, Wind and Fire. Like I said these are the basics depending on how schooled your palmist is you may get a more detailed breakdown on the shape of your hand.
Now obviously as with all things astrology related when it comes to palm reading there is just as much evidence in favor of as there is opposed to it. With no real hard data to back up either side. Anyway if you are interested in getting your palm read, please understand that palm reading is not so much a fortune telling thing as it is really more of an interpretation of your character and personality traits.
